About San Diego Yacht Services
Leanne and Steve McNally have been involved in yachts and boating for a combined 45+ years. Leanne spent most of her career as the manager of the largest charter fleet in San Diego where she learned firsthand that maintaining boats was a priority and in everyone’s best interest. In her experience, catching a maintenance issue before it became an operational issue saved everyone time and money and preventing issues saved even more.
Over time, Leanne and her husband Steve, a USCG licensed master and electronics entrepreneur, became a resource to friends and acquaintances looking for advice on who to use for a particular project or how to fix a certain problem or what advice they had to keep a yacht in shipshape condition. Some were looking to increase their knowledge, others were just curious, but a lot of the questions were cries for help from people who didn’t have the time, interest or energy to deal with this side of yacht ownership.
Together, Leanne and Steve created San Diego Yacht Services (SDYS) to help take care of the difficulties and hassles of owning a yacht. (And as frequent charterers and Moorings brokers, they extended their services to help friends and clients with yacht charters). Their goal was simple: represent yacht owners who do not have the time, interest and/or the experience to manage marine maintenance, repair and cleaning professionals. SDYS leverages its relationships with marine vendors around Southern California to reach a fair deal on maintenance, repairs and cleaning. By representing more than one client, the company wields greater buying power and receives special attention from vendors.
